Applications
Ideal for use in concrete floor buildings to substantially reduce the vertical, horizontal and diagonal transmission of impact sound arising from footsteps, dropped objects, and scraping of furniture on hard floor surfaces. Designed for use in residential structures, and in light commercial traffic areas. For use in dry areas, and when used below an approved waterproof membrane system in wet areas and on outside balconies.
Superior Noise Control
| Vertical (Upstairs/Downstairs): |
Typically reduces impact sound transmission (depending on structure) by a substantial 10 to 25 dB Ln,w + CI, or 17 - 24 dB IIC. Further detail and specific test data is included in The Full Story brochure downloadable below, |
| Horizontal (Rooms on the same level): |
Reduces both impact and airborne sound transmission from room to room by limiting the ability of sound to flank the wall through the concrete slab. |
| Diagonal (Upstairs / Offset Downstairs): |
Effective in reducing impact sound transmission. |
Excellent Load Carrying
USG
Powerscape Peace Concrete acoustic underlay in comparative testing achieved leading concentrated load (e.g. chair leg) performance. This performance minimises any risk of cracks or grout popping with expensive floor tiles. Details in The Full Story brochure downloadable below.
