Applications
Ideal for interior linings applications in places where high impact strength, stiffness, dent resistance, or secure wall furniture fixing capability are required. Also ideal when excellent fire and acoustic properties are needed. Termite resistant. Suitable for use in dry areas and regions in service rooms exposed to infrequent wetting or splashing. (Use Powerscape Health or Powerscape Distinction for areas with frequent splashing). Powerscape Confidence wall and ceiling linings are engineered to keep looking good longer.
Confidence Utility, and Confidence Ultra-Mesh
Powerscape Confidence is available in two different grades:
- Powerscape Confidence Utility - the normal product for places subject to impact and tough treatment; with impact resistance equal to or better than scrim reinforced plasterboard and 9mm fibre cement linings.
- Powerscape Confidence Ultra-Mesh - comes with a supplementary internal reinforcing mesh delivering an entirely new impact performance level for sheet lining products.
Both products have the same mineral rich surface, and patented internal bonding mechanism.
Durable
Powerscape Confidence has very high resistance to impact, and advanced surface bonding qualities for paint, abrasion resistant coatings or tiles.
- Powerscape Confidence Utility has over two times the soft and hard body impact resistance of equivalent thickness plasterboard, and a similar resistance to scrim reinforced plasterboard. Compared to fibre cement it is stronger.
- Powerscape Confidence Ultra-Mesh has over four times the soft and hard body impact resistance of equivalent thickness plasterboard. It is much stronger than scrim reinforced plasterboard, 9mm fibre cement, and also exceeds the hard board impact resistance of masonry blocks.
Convenient
Dry trade speed and flexibility. No need for wet trade mess and delays.
Installs in the same manner as plasterboard, but with stronger joints.
Sheet edges are pre-tapered. Sheet ends and site cut edges can be tapered on site where necessary for very smooth and strong joints.
Wall furniture can be screwed directly into Powerscape Confidence Rocklinings (except fire rated wall systems). Supports approximately 15kg load in any direction per screw at the screw head (13mm thickness) and 20 kg (16mm thickness). Good design practice is a minimum of two screws per fixture.
Environmental, Sustainability and Safety
Environmental
Powerscape linings are the environmental linings of the future - they have been awarded the Green Cross, and certified as having 95% or greater recycled content by Scientific Certification Systems (SCS) - the leading independent environmental certifier in the USA. (Listing is under the American brand - Fiberock linings). See also Sustainability.
Safety
The installers and occupiers friend - free from known health risks associated with asbestos, synthetic mineral fibre, respirable crystalline silica, and formaldehyde.

Powerscape Peacekeeper Intertenancy Wall System Designs
Powerscape linings enable intertenancy walls to be constructed that have
very small wallprints. The following special intertenancy systems Quick Facts summaries
are available for the Australian market, or for other markets see the full range
of systems below.
Note that full single page specifications for all these systems are available to
download under Literature Resources.
Wall Design - Fire and Acoustic
The high density and unique stiffness of Powerscape linings result in excellent noise transmission reduction properties. Acoustic performance is similar to and sometimes better then that of special high density plasterboard products. The fire resistance of Powerscape lined walls generally equals that obtained with regular plasterboard, and is significantly better in terms of resistance to surface spread of flame due to the absence of a surface paper.
A wide range of Powerscape acoustic and fire rated wall design options are available, for steel and timber frames, as shown in the following short downloadable files. Full specifications for each of the wall designs shown are available to download in Literature Resources.
